From its humble beginning 35 plus years ago as a two person permanent Legal/Administrative support search agency; today AP Staffing and all its divisions stand as a prominent leader in the areas of Accounting/Finance, Healthcare, Business Services and Biosciences. Michael Sklar assumed the duties of CEO in 1997 and has been responsible for recruiting, mentoring and establishing the core values that have led AP Staffing to its consistent growth over the years. Mike uses his strategic vision to work with management, and identify business opportunities in the vertical markets within the core areas of AP Staffing’s business. He is the driving force behind the success of AP Staffing’s open line of communication amongst all team members. A trusted mentor, he has been invaluable in establishing the agency’s culture and core client relationships. It’s been his mission from day one to not only help AP Staffing’s clients and candidates succeed, but all of AP Staffing’s employees as well. Born and bred in Boston, Mike is a graduate cum laude from Bentley College, in Waltham, MA, with a B.S. in Accountancy. Mike is a New England sports fanatic, who enjoys golfing, playing tennis and traveling. Mike serves on the board of directors for various non-profit and for-profit companies and is passionate about giving back to the community through local charities he is involved with.

 David Pantano
David Pantano Senior Vice President

David joined AP Staffing in September of 2010 in the role of Vice President; tasked with building a clinical healthcare division and assisting with the strategic growth initiatives of the organization. Since his arrival, David has successfully built AP Healthcare from the ground up, turning it into AP Staffing’s highest performing business unit. His strength in new business development and emphasis on building strong professional partnerships has allowed AP to explore new vertical markets and attract top industry talent to fuel the company’s growth. With David’s promotion to the position of Senior Vice President in July of 2015, he took on the responsibility for the performance of the company’s 4 four existing divisions, namely; Accounting & Finance, Biosciences, Business Services and Healthcare. In 2017, David launched AP’s Strategic Solutions Group, a consulting and advisory practice with a deep expertise in designing creative workforce management programs tailored to our clients’ unique organizational needs. The sum of these parts is a high-touch, solutions-based staffing and consulting firm focused on meaningful partnerships and providing quantifiable results. Prior to joining AP Staffing, David spent 8 years at Hoffman Recruiters, LLC. where he was promoted to the position of Vice President in October of 2008. While at Hoffman, Dave assumed a leadership role in the business development function, helping to grow Hoffman’s client base and develop lasting professional relationships within the Healthcare and Biotech vertical markets. Dave’s professional experience also includes time spent in the hi-tech consulting world. He served as Manager of Technical Recruiting Services for Hall Kinion, a national staffing firm based out of San Francisco. A graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park with a BS in Biopsychology, David lives in the Metrowest area and enjoys traveling, creative writing, fitness, live music and spending time with his family.

Michael Covino
Michael Covino Vice President

Mike is AP Staffing’s Corporate Vice President and Chief Project Officer working on strategic projects. Mike’s staffing industry experience goes back over 34 years when he started at Accountemps in Boston. Prior to joining the staffing industry, he worked for a Fortune 100 company in Accounting and Financial management. In addition to overseeing process improvement, Mike also helps design and implement technology strategy and advises company management on organizational development, market strategy and strategic growth initiatives. A native of Boston, Mike is a graduate of Suffolk University with a B.S. in Accounting and an M.B.A. in Finance. When not watching the Patriots win Super Bowls, Mike enjoys spending time with his family and friends and is an avid skier. Mike is a volunteer instructor with an adaptive skiing and sports program which provides lessons to individuals with physical and developmental disabilities.

Chris Healey
Chris Healey Chief Financial Officer

Chris currently oversees accounting and finance for AP Staffing, under the Shared Services umbrella, where his daily duties include financial oversight of payroll, billing, cash management, financial reporting, and compliance. He brings with him over 13 years of accounting and administrative experience within a host of industries, including governmental, technology, engineering, software, and manufacturing. Chris graduated from Widener University in Pennsylvania, with a B.S. in Accounting. In down time Chris enjoys spending time with his family, house renovations, gardening and cooking.

Chris Tamburrini
Chris Tamburrini Managing Director, AP Biosciences & Healthcare

Chris joined AP Staffing in February 2017 and currently oversees business development and recruiting efforts for AP Biosciences & Healthcare. He has been assigned with adding structure and streamlining recruitment and sales processes within each practice, while also growing market presence for its Biosciences segment. Chris comes to AP Staffing after 9 years with Aerotek Scientific, where he led his team to become a dominant provider of life sciences talent services in the Greater Boston Area. In 2015, he was promoted to Divisional Practice Lead for Aerotek’s Scientific division in Boston. Chris obtained his B.S. in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology with a minor in Economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He lives in Boston proper, spends his free time with close friends and family, and enjoys New England sports, personal fitness, and live rock music.

Lauren Cabral
Lauren Cabral Vice President, Strategic Solutions

Lauren joins the AP Staffing team with a deep healthcare professional services pedigree spanning over 23 years. Lauren has been appointed to helm AP Healthcare as Vice President, Strategic Solutions, by leveraging deep industry expertise and demonstrated success in the healthcare clinical staffing, revenue cycle, information technology, and workforce management consulting verticals. A proven leader, with a strong track record of leading high-performing teams to deliver workforce management solutions in competitive markets more effectively. Lauren is charged with scaling AP Healthcare’s regional and national market position to meet the increased and evolving demands of our healthcare clients in diversified clinical and non-clinical environments. Lauren has held senior leadership positions in some of the most respected staffing and consulting firms in the country throughout her industry tenure. Most notably, Lauren previously served as Vice President at Cross Country Healthcare for over 14 years. In that role, Lauren and her team developed and executed Cross Country’s leading MSP strategy with some of the most prestigious healthcare delivery organizations in North America. Additionally, through holding other senior management posts and consulting engagements in both the Healthcare IT and RPO space, Lauren plans to channel her proven experience in expanding AP Healthcare’s capabilities across a spectrum of healthcare service areas and environments of care. A native Bostonian, Lauren holds a BA in Journalism and Communications from Northeastern University. A life-long Boston Sports enthusiast with a penchant for fitness, wellness, and travel, all of which she enjoys with her family residing in the South Shore of Massachusetts.
