The Regional Vice-President, Physician Network role is the physician lead in the Massachusetts region and is responsible for the management of the physician chapter and regional boards and associated medical directors

 Responsibilities

  • Partner with the local chapter team, particularly the Regional Executive Director of Operations, and MSO operations to assist in the development and execution of strategic initiatives designed at enhancing patient performance within the risk-based population
  • Regularly review financial performance with the local and national financial and operational leads and makes strategic adjustments or recommendations as needed to achieve programmatic and corporate goals
  • Analyze and prepare reports regarding network performance; participates in all operational planning and review meetings, including the monthly close and operating reviews
  • Work with operations and finance on annual budgeting and periodic forecast performance activities
  • Collaborate with Network Development team to grow the physician network within the region
  • Regularly visit practices and engage with providers in Massachusetts
  • Oversee the local board governance model and assist in the creation of policies to guide network activities
  • Develop and maintaining peer-to-peer physician and practice relationships in the community to support goals
  • Work with the chief medical officer to facilitate the execution of an effective physician governance model
  • Work closely with local operations to assist in the development and execution of strategic initiatives designed at enhancing patient performance within the risk-based population
  • Support of the Managed Care team during the phase of negotiation and development of contracts, assisting the team as needed
  • Serve as primary liaison for the health plan for medical director/clinical discussions

 Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO)
  • Completion of accredited medical residency, preferably in primary care
  • 10+ years in clinical work
  • 5+ years working in a high-level leadership role for a group of physician practices
  • Strong knowledge of Accountable Care and Value-Based Care Models
