The Business Development Manager - Healthcare Staffing Solutions (BDM) is responsible for the development, and management of client relationships across AP Healthcare’s full suite of Healthcare Solutions to include Healthcare Contract Services, Permanent Search, and Strategic Solutions. The BDM will play an integral role in the business development of AP Healthcare (APHC) Strategic Solution target accounts.  These responsibilities will require a full understanding of consulting and advisory services in order to position clients for professional service assessments and other services.   • Represent and conduct business development activities in line with AP Healthcare’s strategic business plan
  • Oversight of account management and business development functions for clients as assigned by the Managing Director of APHC
  • Serves as main point of contact for all business development, contract negotiation activities for APHC suite of services
  • Conducts all business development and account management activities in APHC’s erecruit CRM platform (system of record)
  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding weekly, monthly, quarterly revenue and profitability goals
  • Responsible for adhering and managing business in accordance with AP Corporate policies and procedures
  • Conduct contract and rate negotiations for specified service offerings
  • Must have a firm understanding of APHC entire scope of services to include Contract Services, Permanent Search, and Strategic Solutions
  • Facilitates intra-divisional cross-selling activities within APHC
  • Works closely with AP Accounting Department to conduct reports on AP performance at strategic accounts
  • Responsible for gathering all competitive intelligence and market information aligned to APHC strategic business strategies
  • Participates in the development and completion of APHC RFPs, RFIs, proposals and presentation in conjunction with APHC Managers of Client Services and Senior Management
  • Serves as escalation point for client concerns and support to include but not limited to billing issues, customer service, staffing operations, assignment confirmations/changes, and overall APHC performance at newly acquired accounts
  • Works cohesively with APHC Recruiters, Managers of Client Services and APHC MD to ensure all activities are in line with APHC business strategy
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of the credentialing and onboarding requirements of all assigned AP Healthcare clients
  • Responds appropriately to time sensitive requests
  • Must ensure that all business development account management activities are performed under a fully executed contract in full force in effect
  • Maintains confidentiality within AP and for the clients that we serve
  • Other duties as assigned 


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Business, Communications, Healthcare Administration)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years Account Management/Business Development experience in Healthcare staffing and/or consulting services
  • Must have comfort level in presenting and consultative solution selling to all levels of an organization
  • Proven experience meeting and exceeding performance requirements/goals
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to interact within all levels of the organization and with external audiences
  • Accurate, detail oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and possess excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Must work efficiently under deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in healthcare is a plus, but not required
  • Strong Computer Skills to include use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
