A well-known client of ours is seeking a Senior Clinical Database Analyst as the newest addition to their company! The ideal candidate for the Sr. Clinical Database Analyst position will have previous relevant experience and must have the ability to efficiently function in a fast-paced, rapid growth environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Acquire important information regarding study initiation, execution, analysis, and closing procedures
  • Ensure that genomic/clinical data for research studies are being collected in an efficient and timely manner
  • Develop, create, and maintain clinical study databases
  • Configure program database structures in a variety of platforms to manage data for research studies
  • Manipulate and combine data from a variety of sources
  • Work closely with collaborators, both internal and external, to ensure that data management needs are met and progress/updates are communicated
  • Provide training to clinical site personnel and collaborators on study-specific tools
  • Define and recommend standards
  • Improve department infrastructure as appropriate
  • Participate in recruiting and hiring of staff
  • Act as a mentor to new/lower level staff

Requirements:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in life sciences, computer sciences, or other relevant discipline
  • Must have at least 8 years of relevant experience
  • Previous experience involving data management processes and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a lead data manager/analyst in a project team
  • Proficiency with relational databases and programming
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle practices
  • Demonstrated coding skills in modern clinical data management system
  • Familiarity with Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Outstanding oral and written communication/presentation skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to integrate and apply feedback in a professional manner
  • Capable of working individually as well as in a team based environment
  • Post-graduate coursework is preferable
  • Programming skills in other data manipulation, analysis and reporting tools such as R and Tableau are desired qualities
